Gravenstein is full-bodied, with good sweetness. It's discrete acidic character with a long aftertaste. Gravenstein is very versatile and is suitable for both meat and fish.

The origin of the apple is from Denmark in the late 1600s, and has been considered as Norway’s main apple. The apples are large and either fine yellow or blotchy red. The flesh is quite firm, yellow, juicy, slightly tart with a nice aroma.
